about

Here is the second "cover" song we worked on as a Kickstarter reward. This one is a lovely little narrative song written by talented Bobtown supporter, Marc Whinston. As a quintet, we could certainly relate to the existential crisis of "five missing one." This was so much fun for us, we hope you enjoy it, too!

lyrics

Guiding horses with able hands
Through valleys and table lands
Another night by the fire
With the freedom we desire

We’re five but we’re missing one
Ride together under moon and sun
We had a friend who wouldn’t run
We’re five but we’re missing one

We thought it was all for fun
And in a moment…gone
A day I won’t forget
But a lifetime to regret

We’re five but we’re missing one
Ride together under moon and sun
We had a friend who wouldn’t run
We’re five but we’re missing one

He knew the risk, he took the chance
And gave us his last dance

So we drink to the family we found
And to the one that’s not around
And we ride on

We’re five but we’re missing one
We ride until the ridin’s done
We had a friend who wouldn’t run
We’re five but we’re missing one

We’re five but we’re missing one
We ride until the ridin’s done
We had a friend who wouldn’t run
We’re five but we’re missing, yeah, we’re missing
We’re five but we’re missing one
